At Smokin' Joe's, your health and safety are core to our artistry. We maintain a sterile, high-end environment where every procedure is governed by strict protocols. Following these guidelines ensures the integrity of your art and a seamless experience from first ink to final heal.
HEALTH & SAFETY
Sterilization Protocol
We utilize medical-grade autoclaves and hospital disinfectants. All needles are single-use and are disposed of in hazardous waste containers immediately after each session. Tubes are metal and pre-sterilized before use.
Shop Sanitation Rules
Stations are fully sanitized before and after every client. Our studio maintains a strictly controlled environment, prohibiting food, tobacco, and unauthorized visitors in the procedure area.
Artist Hygiene Standards
Artists are required to wear medical-grade nitrile gloves and protective barriers. Extensive hand-washing protocols are followed at every stage of the tattooing process.
Physical Readiness
Ensure you are well-rested and have eaten a substantial meal 2-3 hours before your session. Proper hydration is key to skin elasticity and comfort.
Skin Preparation
Avoid sun exposure, tanning, or chemical peels on the area to be tattooed for at least two weeks. Do not consume alcohol or blood thinners 24 hours prior.
What to Bring
A valid government-issued photo ID is mandatory. We recommend wearing loose, dark clothing that allows easy access to the tattoo site.

Late Arrivals
All appointments require a $50 non-refundable deposit to secure your session. This amount is deducted from the final price of your tattoo but is forfeited in the event of a no-show.
We require at least 24 hours notice for any cancellations or rescheduling. Failure to provide notice within this timeframe will result in the loss of your deposit.
Please arrive on time. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may be cancelled to avoid impacting subsequent clients, and your deposit will not be refunded.
AFTERCARE
